Adi Nampreet – Part 7

Graduation day sunlight had a softness to it; everything felt like a blessing. Preparations were underway for the ceremony where I would be acknowledged as a certified KRI Kundalini Yoga teacher. Two more teachers from the Mackay Sangat were joining us for the celebrations and soon they arrived with huge smiles and open arms.

Adi Nampreet – Part 6

It feels a little bit surreal to be sitting here writing this last blog before I graduate from my KRI Level One Training with Didar in Mackay. When I think back to the beginning, I remember feeling excited and curious as to what this journey would bring, but now after months of Zoom classes and a couple of scheduled flights to Mackay for the face-to-face immersives, homework, Sadhana practices and practice practicums, I’m on the home stretch to graduation.

Adi Nampreet – Part 5

This training is about becoming teachers. And one day soon, I hope to help create teachers with calibre too. That’s how this lineage keeps growing strong.

Yogi Bhajan once said that as students we must aim to become ten times greater than our teacher because that’s how the teachings and lineage stay alive. It’s through our growth, effort, and our calibre.

Adi Nampreet – Part 4

When I signed up for my first Kundalini Yoga teacher training, I believed it was KRI accredited as the teacher was KRI trained. I paid in the vicinity of $2000 for LIVE online training and was excited to learn all I could.

Day one came and we all introduced ourselves. I had practiced Kundalini Yoga in the past and knew how powerful some kriyas and meditations could be. So when it came my turn to share, I spoke honestly and with some excitement, thinking I was in a safe place, especially since there were other yoga teachers present. I was wrong!

Adi Nampreet – Part 3

When I stepped off the plane in Mackay, it was dark and small puddles of rain lay on the tarmac. I had purposely booked the last flight due to work commitments. The weather didn’t dampen my spirits, or those of Priya Angad, who was waiting patiently for me with a huge smile on her face.

2025. My plane ticket is booked, accommodation sorted, and now I’m making a list of everything I’ll need to take with me to Mackay for my KRI Level One Teacher Training.
Already though, I’ve made sure to pack white clothing and scarves (which I love to wear anyway).
