KY Journeys
Please enjoy reading about the experiences of some of our students during their Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainings.
Adi Nampreet – My KY Journey
Part 2
2025
My plane ticket is booked, accommodation sorted, and now I’m making a list of everything I’ll need to take with me to Mackay for my KRI Level One Teacher Training.
Already though, I’ve made sure to pack white clothing and scarves (which I love to wear anyway). In Kundalini Yoga wearing white is said to elevate your energy field and aura, while scarves or head coverings help to contain and amplify the energy in the body.
Even before I set foot on the plane, there is a scheduled full Saturday of online training via Zoom. It’s the beginning of eight months of learning, deepening my understanding and connecting more fully to the lineage of teachers that stretches back through the ages. I know this training is transformative which can sometimes be uncomfortable, but challenges always bring about clarity and growth.
I’ve started reflecting on what this journey means in the larger context of my life. I see it as a continuation of my desire to serve, to be of service in a way that is authentic and true to my purpose. I also recognise that it’s a call to step into a role of leadership, something I feel I haven’t fully resonated with yet. This training is inviting me to be confident in leaving the ego behind and preparing myself to share the teachings more fully with others.
A couple of weeks ago, a chat group was created on Whatsapp for all of the students and teachers to connect, ask questions, and support each other throughout this time, and likely beyond.
The idea of being part of a group of women, in this instance, that is also on a similar path, feels incredibly important. I look forward to not just learning from the teachers but also from the students as well, through their experiences and insights.
Much Love
Adi Nampreet xx
